What is Slack?
Slack is a work collaboration platform organized around channels and real-time conversations. It also brings together messaging, huddles, file sharing, canvases, workflow automation, and connections to other services in one workspace.
How it works with Fortiana
A team may announce a plan in a channel and revise it in the replies. Slack contributes the written exchange around those changes: channels, direct messages and threads. Fortiana can use that conversation when a question depends on the update, commitment or disagreement people actually wrote down.

How you can use it
For example, you can ask questions such as:
- What did the team decide after the review?
Use the surrounding thread to separate a considered decision from earlier suggestions, reactions, or questions that remained open. - Who committed to the follow-up?
Read the exchange for the person who accepted the action, rather than assuming that the most active participant owns it. - What is the latest operational update?
Compare recent channel and thread context so an old announcement is not mistaken for the current position.
Before you connect
- Identify the workspace and conversations. List the channels and conversation types you need, including any direct-message requirements to confirm.
- Review authorization and scope. Involve the workspace owner who can check which conversations may be made available through the connection.
- Agree history and update needs. Note the period and freshness needed for the use case so the connection behavior can be confirmed before rollout.
