What is Microsoft Calendar?
Outlook Calendar is Microsoft’s calendar and scheduling component, integrated with email and contacts. It lets people create events, organize meetings, invite participants, compare group schedules, and view multiple calendars for planning.
How it works with Fortiana
A review, a customer call and a planned launch may be close together but belong to different parts of a decision. Calendar events help place those moments in order. Fortiana can use titles, times and invitees alongside the separate correspondence or work record that explains what was discussed.
What Fortiana can use
- Events
- Meeting titles and times
- Invitees
Not included: Mail; Microsoft Teams chat.
How you can use it
For example, you can ask questions such as:
- When was the review meeting scheduled?
Use the event’s title and time to place the planned review in the sequence of work without inferring that it took place. - Who was invited to the decision call?
Read the invitee list as planned participation; it does not establish who attended or what anyone said. - Was the customer call scheduled before the launch?
Compare event dates while keeping the planned sequence separate from what actually took place.
Before you connect
- Identify the calendars. List the calendar accounts and events relevant to the initial use case.
- Confirm access and history needs. Identify who can review the connection requirements and the period of calendar history needed.
- Locate the decision record. Identify where the actual discussion or approval is written; a calendar invitation does not contain it.
Can an event prove attendance or approval?
No. An invitation supplies the scheduled time and invitee list. Attendance and approval need their own evidence; the calendar entry does not establish either.
