What is Google Drive?
Google Drive is Google Workspace’s cloud storage service for uploading, opening, sharing, editing, and organizing files. It supports collaboration across Google documents, Microsoft Office files, PDFs, and other file types.
How it works with Fortiana
A project folder may contain the first proposal, working drafts and the copy shared with the customer. Google Drive contributes the files and folder context around that work. When supported file content is available, Fortiana can also use the document’s wording alongside its metadata.
What Fortiana can use
- Files
- Folders
- File metadata
Optional: Supported file content.
Not included: Google Chat messages.
How you can use it
For example, you can ask questions such as:
- Which rollout plan is the approved one?
Compare the relevant files and their surrounding folder context so an earlier draft is not treated as the agreed plan. - What changed between the two proposals?
Use supported file content where available, then distinguish wording changes from differences in the documents’ surrounding context. - Where is the signed version?
Trace the available folders and file metadata to locate the document that the team treats as the signed copy.
Before you connect
- Identify the Drive folders. List the folders and documents needed for the initial connection, including shared material relevant to your team.
- Confirm access requirements. Identify the owner who can review access to those files and the connection’s authorization requirements.
- Check file-content coverage. List the document types whose contents matter so support can be confirmed before relying on them.
