What is Jira?
Jira is Atlassian’s project management tool for planning, tracking, and delivering work. Teams organize tasks into projects, follow progress through boards and other views, manage dependencies, and report on results.
How it works with Fortiana
A status label rarely explains the whole situation. The reason a work item is blocked, the clarification requested by its assignee and the customer’s next dependency may be written in comments. Jira gives Fortiana the work item together with that discussion and its recorded status and assignee.

How you can use it
For example, you can ask questions such as:
- What is still blocking the launch?
Read the work item’s discussion alongside its status to understand the blocker the team has reported. - Who owns the open validation task?
Use the assignee and work-item context to distinguish the responsible person from people who only commented on the task. - What is the current status of this issue?
Read the current status with comments and assignee context so the answer reflects the present work position and open discussion.
Before you connect
- Identify projects and work items. List the Jira projects and work history relevant to the initial connection.
- Involve the access owner. Identify who can review the Jira environment, authorization requirements and intended project scope.
- Review attachment requirements. Note where specifications or supporting files are attached to work items and confirm their availability.
