What is Gitea?
Gitea is a platform for hosting Git repositories that can be run on your own server. It provides code review, issue tracking and collaboration tools for software teams.

The reason for an architectural choice may outlive the people who remember the original discussion. Gitea issues and reviews can preserve the alternatives, objections and compromises recorded at the time. Use the issue and review discussion to recover the reasons recorded for the chosen approach. - Which alternative did we reject?
Find the proposed alternative and the objection or tradeoff discussed by the team. - What remained unresolved when the change was accepted?
Read the review history for open concerns that were not addressed in the final discussion.
Before you connect
- Identify the Gitea instance. Provide the instance and repositories you want to evaluate so connection compatibility can be confirmed.
- Involve the repository owner. Identify who can review authorization and the intended repository access.
- Locate the decision history. List the issue and review material needed alongside changes, especially for older implementation decisions.
